Fundraising with Rooted Farmstead

At Rooted Farmstead, using our small business as a force for good is at the heart of what we do. As requests from incredible causes have grown, we’ve formalized a few ways to help you raise funds while keeping our giving sustainable.

How It Works & What We Ask

To ensure success for all, please note:

  • Each organization may host one fundraising activity per calendar year.
  • After submitting the online form, it’s your responsibility to follow up in person to finalize details.
  • Provide any special instructions about how or when donations must be received at the time of your request.
  • Your group must promote the fundraiser, tag Rooted Farmstead in related social media posts, websites, newsletters and printed material where mentioned.
  • By participating, you grant Rooted Farmstead permission to use any tagged photos for marketing.
  • Please respond promptly to all planning communications to keep your event on track.

1. Benefit Day

Description:
Choose a day during our pick-your-own season (mid-July to mid-October) and invite supporters. For each purchase made by visitors mentioning your organization, up to 15%* is donated back to you.

How It Works:

  • Pick Your Day: Select a 3-hour time block. Date and time must be confirmed in writing by Rooted Farmstead.
  • Promote: Your organization is fully responsible for promotion and attendance.
  • Be Present: Representatives must be on-site for the entire time—not just dropping off flyers. Bring info tables, printed materials, or items to sell if you like.
  • Funds Raised: 15%* of each qualifying purchase will be donated.

2. Private Workshop

Description:
Host a private, hands-on workshop at the farm or The Makery to engage supporters and raise funds.

How It Works:

  • Plan It: Choose venue, date, time, and workshop theme—all must be confirmed in writing by Rooted Farmstead.
  • Promote: Your organization handles promotion and ticket sales encouragement.
  • Ticketing: We manage ticket sales and create the event page.
  • Funds Raised: You receive a check for 15%* of ticket sales after the event.

3. Bulk Blooms

Description:
Purchase flowers in bulk at a discount and create your own fundraiser—bouquet bar, pre-made bouquets, deliveries, and more.

How It Works:

  • Order: Buy extra-large Buckets of Blooms at 15% off*.
  • Pick Up: Orders must be picked up in person during business hours.
  • Get Creative: Use flowers however you want to raise funds.
  • Keep Proceeds: Your organization keeps 100% of earnings.

4. Item Donations

Description:
We also support raffles and auctions! Official 501(c)(3) non-profits may request gift cards valued up to $25 per year. Gift cards are physical and must be picked up in person. They can be raffled as-is or used to purchase fundraiser items.

*If your organization does not have official 501(c)(3) status, the contribution or discount is 10%.
